William H. Floyd

William (Bill) Floyd is a senior executive who has worked in the medical industry for 30+ years at three Fortune 500 Medical companies as well as two early stage start-up ventures. Most recently, Bill was President and CEO of CSA Medical in Lexington, MA. He was recruited to take the CEO role to manage the transition of CSA from a small seven-person organization to what is now a sixty-person mid-size revenue company. During his tenure Bill raised over $50M in capital and oversaw the commercialization of a novel technology for delivering liquid nitrogen that is now utilized in over 100 teaching hospitals across the country.

Prior to Bill’s leadership at CSA, he served at another early stage company focused on Brain Monitoring. Bill joined Aspect Medical (ASPM) as Executive VP, Worldwide Sales and Marketing when revenues were $7M and oversaw its growth to $120M over the course of seven years. In 2009 Aspect Medical was acquired by Covidien (now Medtronic) for $220M. Bill ran the $600M commercial operations for the Patient Monitoring division for 1 year following the acquisition.

In 1993 Bill joined Boston Scientific just after it had gone public where he acted as the Vice President, Marketing and managed the Urology business. During his tenure he increased revenues from ~$20M to over ~$100M. Bill was involved in 2 acquisitions and 7 licensing deals to support the Division’s growth initiatives.

Bill began his medical career in sales at Johnson and Johnson in 1982 and worked his way into marketing and new business development. He was involved in developing and commercializing a large range of products from general surgical tools to implants and hydrocephalus therapies.
