Timothy O’Shea

Tim O’Shea is an experienced and seasoned health care executive and Board member. He spent over 20 years at Boston Scientific where he had roles in a variety of functions: sales, domestic marketing, international marketing, R+D and left Boston Scientific as Corporate Vice President of Business Development. During his time at Boston Scientific the company grew from $8 million to over $7 billion in annual revenue. While serving as Corporate Vice President of Business Development covering 5 business units, Tim managed over 35 strategic transactions including acquisitions, sale of a business unit, equity investments with and without strategic rights, distribution agreements, licenses and loans with strategic rights. Tim served as a board member or observer on the boards of many of the companies Boston Scientific would invest in as part of its M+A strategy.

Post Boston Scientific Tim joined OXO Capital as Managing Director. They provided strategic advisory services to early stage medical device companies to accelerate the value creation process including overall business strategy, leading interaction with strategic buyers, funding, establishment of Advisory Boards, licensing and identification of high level human capital.

Tim is currently on the Board of Cutera Inc., a global provider of energy based aesthetic systems, (CUTR:Nasdaq). He enjoys a special combination of multiple operational and board function experience in the healthcare space with extensive experience in the strategy/M+A area. He has first-hand knowledge of governance, financial, legal issues and strategic transactions from the small and large company perspective.
